Hi

I've updated my blog with concept artwork of CMG's upcoming ARC FLEET Augmented Troopers.

These hombres are the arc Fleet's 'heavies' in power assisted armour: link

Pic: picture

Dunno about you but this figure is going to be my new Master Chief!

The Augmented Troopers compliment CMG's ARC FLEET Light Recon Troopers introduced in an earlier post here:

Perfect as proxies for HALO3 ODST or even Starship Troopers miniatures game in 15mm.

Cheers

I'm really looking forward to this line – it will be great to have a full range of troop types that all have the same style of armor and weapons, rather than patching them together from various lines. So far they have announced 4 packs of the light recon and 2 of the augmented foot (PA), right? Have they said anything about the other types: rifle, heavy, and drop PA?

Thanks again for the blog. It helped me steer my son and his cousin away from GW, so my wallet thanks you as well. ;)

BTW – I get a login popup when I click on the CMG link (using Firefox).

Its going to be a really interesting range! I cant wait to see the alien races as well (not to mention some pics of the big walker whose leg appears in one of the infantry posts!)

And Im getting the login popup too!

Very cool, and definitely on the list for the future 15mm endeavor.

Any chance of Critical Mass releasing some of their troops in 28mm/30mm, somewhere down the road, that you know of?

I'm finding myself wholly given over toward the notion of mirroring some forces in both scales (it dawning on me that the Quar are available in both was the final straw), and it'd be nice to have a squad or two of the regular and augmented troops in the One True Scale, as well, both for gaming skirmish versions of scouting actions, and for use in 5150 and assorted sci-fi armies…

I'm not much into power armor, but I must have those "Light Recon Troopers".

If enough poses are made, they would exceed (by much), what I was asking for here:

Can't wait to see when they become available.

Personally not a huge fan of these. Too retro/anime for me -- almost like they should be in white armour with a diagonal orange stripe across it. The power armour also looks faintly derivative of the games workshop space marines with the bellbottoms and the dubious fit of the human pelvis into the armour. (Particularly in the rear -- glutius-maximus-ectomy, perhaps? Ah the sacrifices we make for the Corps.)

That said there does seem to be a need for this type in 15mm and so I'm glad that fans of this look are getting a complete line of it.

Hi CC

4 Packs of Light Recon Troopers – 13 unique sculpts.

If CMG brought out nothing else this year, I'd personally be happy with just the Recon miniatures (and ONE Master Chief proxy from the Augmented Troopers of course).

I'm hoping to be able to outline the full range of Arc Fleet human trooper miniatures and support options in a short while. You can see from the Arc Fleet chart on the blog that there will be:

Light Recon,
Standard Rifle Infantry
Drop Troops
Augmented Drop Troops

Cheers

Hi all

I have had confirmation from Critical Mass Games that the following Arc Fleet miniatures will be in the first release due at the end of August.

Light Recon: 4 packs
Drop Troops: 4 packs
Augmented Drop Troops: 2 packs

I'll post details of CMG's releases up to November on Dropship Horizon in a short while.

Cheers

I've been solidly into 25mm and 28mm for over 20 years (with forays into 6mm). But these preview shots from CMG have totally sold me. I will be buying a lot of these once the line is released. Looking forward to the full range!

@Dropship

I really like the concept art. Is that your own work?
