For me it is "Victorian" (1880-1918 really) explorers and civilians, both male and female characters, suitable for Darkest Africa, Lost Worlds, and other scenarios. What's on your wish list? CC |
cloudcaptain | 15 Jul 2009 9:36 a.m. PST |
We are working on a 15mm VSF Sub. Two variants
one with turret and one without. Took a lot of inspiration from the Hunley. After this I've been in need of steam launches so will probably turn my attentions that way. |

Demonworld would be awesome. Still waiting for those Sci-Fi Gorillas we had talked about. 15mm Squats/Scrunties would be excellent. |

"Space Knights" in bulky power armor, with a selection of big guns (and bigger guns) and swords (and maybe axes). And their big brothers, er
"Space Templars"
with even bulkier power armor and even bigger weapons. But no skullz. ;) On a less sci-fantasy note, one-man scout skimmers with a variety of weapons, like the Star Wars Imperial scout trooper grav-bikes in TESB. |
wminsing | 15 Jul 2009 11:27 a.m. PST |
Now that I'm thinking about it, mystical robed warriors with laser swords, with a few armored evil ones thrown in. Would be useful for sci-fi, also useful as a zealous convention-goer in a modern/zombie game. :) -Will |

I want someone to study the images of Hieronymus Bosch and give us the tormented tormentors and deformed monsters that inhabit his visions of hell and temptation. I am not much inspired by the normal run of fantasy figures, but from these nightmares I might build an army. link |

My wish list for 15mm includes a mounted Chinese noblewoman to represent Li Zhe, the Princess Zao Pingyang, of the T'ang dynasty. I would like to see Asian noblewomen & women in various poses. There are plenty topless maidenguard & naked/near naked slave women. I would like to see some women I could actually use on the tabletop to represent various female leaders. |

And as for my own wishlist, I'm living it, and get to work it every day. Mechs, tanks, dropships/gunships, and power armors, all in 15mm, all in a variety of styles. Life is good. Best, JBR |

I did note that, though I am fearing another Batteltech-looking thing with chicken legs. If you notice, both styels of combat walker in those pics I linked too, they are not all that huge, falling someplace between power armor and true mecha. The closest thing I have found to those is either using GZGs 25mm Stargrunt power armor with 15mm or the AT-43 TacArms used with 15mm. -Eli |

Excellent figure. She may have to join the adventures in my Hollow World invasion game I'm planning. Though, I'm sure her "manish" attire might draw some guffaws from the gents in the regiments. -Eli |

Casualty figures suitable for fantasy games. By that I mean generic dead guys. All the casualty figs I have seen in in 15mm are historical figs who are immediately recognizable as Roman, Persian, etc. I need something that would look right for Middle Earth, so equipment from the dark ages but plain and non-specific so I can paint them to represent troops from just about any army. I would think historical gamers would want these too. |

Though, I'm sure her "manish" attire might draw some guffaws from the gents in the regiments. Maybe, but it wasn't hugely unusual for women who were very active on safari to wear trousers and a shirt. Here's Osa Johnson in the late teens or early 20s: tinyurl.com/l59vcr |

I'm not saying there weren't those ladies out there who dressed for adventure. I'm just saying that such attire was likely to be looked on as unladylike by proper society, especially earlier on in the true Victorian era. I love the fig, just not sure my little 15mm army men are ready for such a liberated female and that she might be quite distracting when trying to navigate the perils of the Hollow Earth. -Eli |
Cacique Caribe | 16 Jul 2009 11:07 a.m. PST |
Eli, How about something like this (though this is supposed to depict costume shortly after Victorian period – in 1914)? link CC |
khurasanminiatures | 16 Jul 2009 11:49 a.m. PST |
Hi Eli, not sure I'm so concerned about how Victorians would see Janice, as she's late Edwardian (as indeed are the out of africa pics CC posted). By the Edwardian age it was accepted that some women working actively in the veldt (or elsewhere in the wild) would wear "men's clothing." Anyway, I don't think many safari/high adventure games are set in proper society, so no worries on that score. |
Eli Arndt | 16 Jul 2009 11:58 a.m. PST |
Khurasan, I am aware. Evidently my sense of humor doesn't translate to internet-ese very well. It's not like my Victorians are going to be traveling in proper Victorian style. Heck they aren't even from a real country! -Eli |

Ah it was all a joke. There you have it! Janice is wearing two .45 automatic pistols (clearly out of the Victorian era) and has an H&H .600 nitro express as her main weapon (just out of the Victorian era) so she's not right for Victorian gaming anyway, though she'd be fine for any period from 1911 or so until right up to the present. |
Cacique Caribe | 16 Jul 2009 12:23 p.m. PST |
That's why I mentioned them as "Victorian" (with quotation marks) on my wishlist. I think that any jungle or safari costume from 1900 to 1918 works for me. CC |

Mister Rab, you don't mention exactly what period you mean, but I have a sculptor working on Crecy period English (and some Welsh) right now. While casualties are not a part of that line (and for now neither are mounted knights!), I do have in my mind a plan to make casualties that I discussed with a sculptor and really need to revive. atb, khurasanminiatures.tripod.com |
