Some years ago there was a 15mm range of Maori, British regulars and colonial troops. Could these have been made by an early version of Battlefield before they discovered WW2?

Anyone know if these figures are still available? Recently vistited NZ and found a few packets of these while cleaning up a cupboard.

Formerly available from Battlefront, molds reportedly destroyed. TMP link

More the other side of the water, but these might be as close as you get for the indigenous troops these days: link

Alan,

The destruction of the molds as reported was not accurate.

The molds were purchased/given/transferred to Wildly Inspired Miniatures. A few molds of the full line were missing but the bulk were available. WIM also produced some resin buildings which are very nice. The company was very easy to deal with and very prompt.

The TMP Manufacturer index says WIM has been acquired by Battle Line Miniatures. I have no experience with them.

I would also suggest joining the Maori Wars Yahoo Group.

Battleline sell the old Military Miniatures range now. I'm not sure if it is complete or not but the figures are nice and pretty accurate.

Although it is down at the moment

Batteline also have the British Army and New Zealand rangers for that period. The range has everything you need for the Maori Wars. I have used the British figures for ACW British intervention.

Thanks everyone for the info and links. Could not get the Battleline page to load but found a partial listing of the figures at Battlezone. Have sent them a query so am hoping they are available.
