Hi All, It's being planned to run a "World Crossfire Day" on Saturday 04 April to promote Crossfire. Games will take place over the 24 hours of the day all around the world and the scenarios will be linked, so games played in New Zealand & Australia first will then impact games in the UK which will then impact games in North America. This means htere will be ongoing Crossfire games for 48 hours globally. The setting for the games is NWE 1944 as this is the period most people will have suitable resources for (although in some cases Russian or Japanese troops may stand in for Allied or German forces in some peoples games subject to there local resources). More information is available at Lloyd Nikolas' World CrossFire Day Page link and also at my site link – and both will be regularly updated with more info as we get closer to the date and planning is finalised. The event is being discussed & planned on the Yahoo Crossfire Group link so head there if you are interested in more info. Anyone interested in CrossFire is welcome to participate so let the organiser (Lloyd Nikolas) or the Yahoo Group know if you are interested. |

A World Crossfire Day Update is available here wargaming.info Latest figures are 14 confirmed games, in 6+ Countries (NZ, Malaysia, Spain, UK, Canada, USA), plus another 3 games expected to be confirmed this week (incl. hopefully Hong Kong). We hope to get close to the 24 game mark we originally anticipated. Still looking for games in Australia, India, South Africa, and Europe (plus if possible Japan, South America, etc). |

Where in the States are games being held? |

Hi Moose Head – games are being played were gamers are located – there are 2 on the East Coast at present and 2 in California. If you are interested (in either hosting a game yourself with someone else, or participating in a game hosted by someone else) contact the organiser Lloyd Nikolas at the link on the webpage and he'll be able to help you further. Cheers, John |

Just a final note to confirm that World Crossfire Day is all set to roll for this Saturday. Unfortunately we didn't quite reach our target of 24 games across at least 8 countries, but there will be 17-19 games played (in 7 countries) in a linked campaign starting in New Zealand on the morning of Saturday 04 April and finishing in California, USA, in the afternoon of the same day – a total of about 31 hours of playing time… Games will be spread across the following countries: New Zealand 2 Malaysia 2* Hong Kong 1 Spain 1 United Kingdom 6* Canada 3 United States 4* (* include instances where a team of gamers may or will play 2 games on the day). Look for after action reports at the above websites and for a planned article to be published in Miniature Wargames Magazine. |
