Some of the Crossfire lads are trying to get the following underway. Sounds like a bit of fun, though I won't be able to participate myself:

Hu, that does sound like fun!

Crikey!

That sounds ambitious….

I've signed up for the event. Really looking forward to it. I think it will be neat waiting for dispatches to let me know how previous scenarios are effecting my scenario.

I had originally thought I'd be too sick for the event, but am feeling better. My "troops" (my wargame buddies) are rallying.

It is Triples that weekend so I'll busy running games and shopping, but will be there in spirit.

Hi – posted an update note in the other thread TMP link

Mycenius05 Apr 2009 2:42 a.m. PST

World Crossfire day has proved a great success, in the end we had 20 Games in 7 Countries in a 30 hour period, all on the 04 April 2009 (local time). You can find more on what happened at wargaming.info

Very entertaining read! I really like the idea of the linked battles. Well done.

What a grand project, well done.

Is there an account of the final battle posted yet? if so, where?

Mycenius08 Apr 2009 4:44 p.m. PST

Yep – Full details of the whole thing here: link

As people post their individual AARs I'll add links to them at the person's website or host the AARs themselves at wargaming.info if they don't have their own site and want me too…

I hope it's of interest…

FTR – Mike and his Edmonton team actually hosted games 16 & 17 (not 15 & 16) grin

Also here is the list of scales the games were played in:

2 were 1/35th (54mm).
1 was 28mm.
7 were 1/76th & 1/72nd (20mm).
6 were 15mm.
3 were 10mm.

There were about 53 people involved around the world in the 19 games.
