I have both sets that were made for GASLIGHT, and also a set (can't think makes it. Think I found it on Paroom station?) that includes four red martians, a John Carter/Tarzan like figure, and a big game hunter.

I am looking at the moment for gentlemanly types that might be found in London, such as Sherlock Holmes, a dandy type like Oscar Wilde, a sorcerous weirdo like Aleister Crowley, a figure of HRH Victoria, Otto Von Bismark, and anything else that might be appropriate to VSF in this scale. Some American gunslingers would look cool too.

Also, if memory serves, somebody makes a Burroughsian green martian in top hat and tails in 15mm that I'd love to find.

A website where I could buy any such would be nice, or I could buy or trade.

Regards

Blackhat has the Martian IIRC.

I think Brigade games has some in the GASLIGHT line.

I think its Black Hat miniatures who make the martian figures. Try Irregular miniatures and Mini-figs make a wild west range that's very useful, also have a look at Peter Pig.

Some pictures of some of the figures here…

Thanks for the link. Are all of those 15s?

shiroyama209 Jan 2009 3:15 p.m. PST

Yes, all the figures are 15mm.

Peter Pig used to do a President Lincoln in frock coat and top hat with his wife in their old ACW range, the pack does not appear in the new range but it might be worth asking if it is still available. As for a sorcerous figure, one of the priests from the PP Russian Civil War "priests and nurses" set could work.

Thaken:

I sell the Black Hat stuff here in the US. They have a couple character packs including a princess, mad scientist etc. that would be useful all in 15. They also make the four armed Martian in top hat.

The Minifigs old west range is very nice. Take a look through Peter Pig as well. They have some Old West, Pirates, aliens and more.

Regiment Games do Prussians and French Foreign Legion in gas masks in 15mm and are compatible with the Black Hat stuff. (The gas masks are for fighting the cephalods with their smoke generators).

Finally you;ll find a lot of tips and pointers here:

Brigade has two packs of 15mm characters that are quite good.

You might consider from the Old West range that EC mentioned the Minifig sets that have one pose of a character such as Buffalo hunters on foot and the same character mounted. there are three or four different characters per set. Several different sets.

These could make good indpendent minded settler characters for VSF.
