Likely to be more thoroughly answered here?

Unsollicited by the initail poster, but not disinterested: I'll myself appreciate the information.

I haven't purchased them yet, but Degra does a perfect King and Queen for a Latin seafaring imagi-nation.

jpattern2 Don Hernandez is perhaps too 'traditionalist' in his dress for the Lace Wars, but Mlle Rocateau: wow! Thanks for the indication? I did not know of the Degra miniatures.

Abdul, I agree that the Don is somewhat traditional in his style of dress, but what if I painted his accoutrements to match Mlle. Rocateau's dress? Perhaps Robin's Egg Blue and similar shades?

Mmm. Burghers.

Indeed Louis XIV picture -and even Louis XV link picture – appeared on 'prestige' paintings in trunk-hose and stockings as worn by Don Hernandez. But a large ermine-lined indigo (what about purple?) cloak spangled with gold fleur de lys (for such embroiederies, being an awful painter, I used the type of hairspray with metallic particles sold during the XMas-New Year period – 'impressionism'!) was here to take the dress apart from day-to-day appearance and 'justify' its anachronistic look.
And of course he wore his 'normal' wig. Then, with some headswapping providing a Lace Wars style regal head, many 17thC. – late 16th C. 'character' mini in luxurious dress could be of use.

Now, down to the WAS many kings, princes and marshals were portrayed in 3/4 armour:

Again with the 'correct / period marking' wig brought by headswapping, TYW / ECW characters in 3/4 armour can become members of a mid-18th C. ruling line.
Then, it's whispered that one Grand Duke of uncertain sanity is getting the concepts of 3/4 armour, lobster armour and Mardi Gras lobster costume all mixed up (no name, no denouncement but the idea is 'stollen')!

Hah, great ideas, especially the lobster armor.

I will be using 'Pip' to represent Ludwig V, although I'm going to snip/file off that hoop.
