So, who makes suitable 28mm figures suitable for ruling families? The Frederick the Great figs but Maria-Therese?

Foundry does a duBarry, any others?

Eureka has some Fat Gentlemen and maids. Don't recall if there are any Ladies.

The Old Glory army figures for this year feature Ladies and Gentlemen, and duelists, for the 18th century.

Some of the more well-dressed "pirates" out there might also do.

Bicorne might do personalities in their range also.

Brigade has a set called? Milady and Cardinal, plus theres a servent set.
West Wind Sleepy Hollow has a fat well dressed man in a wig with a dressed up lady.
Foundry also has a Russian general getting dressed and some servents holding a mirror, They have a line of 18th century civillians.

Regarding royal members of the Fair Sex, Black Scorpion's 'Governors daughter' link is an excellent candidate for your *young* (but enterprising? link ) duchess / princess / queen.

More generally, I try to maintain on my blog a bank of links to 18th C. female minis, 'fighting' and 'civilian' alike:
link
All of these range also have their male components.
Other ranges with civilain 18th C. minis obviously exist that I did not quote, since they did not offer feminine minis: Underbed underbed.co.uk/reiver28.htm comes to mind, their ranges include many 'personalities' (royalty may be 'traditionalist' and wear GNW / WSS dress by WAS / SYW times!).

(Yet another 'energetic' Duchess here: grolstein.blogspot.com )
The Batrachian ruling family: link
'tidders' regularly posts lovely vignettes of his rulers: link (and gives the origin of the minis when they first appear).

You may receive more answers -specially regarding obscure manufacturers, who often cover unusual subjects- on the 18th C. forum?

Looking forward for your rules, country and blog!

Old Glory's Pirate range has a Governor and 'creepy assistants' that includes a well-dressed and coiffed woman suitable for royalty. And Minifigs has several 18th Century civilians that includes a woman, although in more middle class than upper crust attire. (Although you could paint her dress as something fancy and maybe add to her hairdo with green-stuff to make her look wealthier for the do-it-yourself painter/modeller.)

sneakgun,

I've used the Old Glory Governor's pack for most of my royalty. Here is a link with them painted:
