I didn't buy anything but since I just got my hand out of the cast, I haven't painted anything either. I am already looking forward to next year so I can redeem myself.

Well, I hate to break a trend, but I had an average sort of month.

I painted nothing and bought plenty. I've whined about it plenty on my blog, but still haven't found time to pick up a paintbrush much at all this year.

I bought several things this month:

and finished up one project:

I got off to a good start, finished 3 Reaper fantasy figures and 1 Panthera warrior from Black Orc. Then it got cold and so did the basement (game/paint room) and I haven't painted anything in weeks. However, I managed not to buy anything (for myself) this month, too.

For the year to date: 82 purchases, 56 painted. Goal was to paint 1/3 or what I bought. So far so good.

Only managed to get two painting days in this month, but they were pretty good days. Had no purchases and painted the following micro armor:

Had a disappointing month, in terms of painting. I didn't paint hardly any in October because spare time was devoted to house cleaning for the Halloween party. For some reason, this month I just couldn't find the inspiration to paint – which didn't stop me from taking advantage of some of the sales people have been having. I did work on terrain some – made some stands of trees, which I had been planning on doing for a long time.

I finally finished painting a few tank units for my IG army after a several month layoff while I painted some of my pulp backlog.

I was a bad boy this Friday though and bought more than I painted the last few months. Oh well…

Purchase goals blown, film at eleven. Or more likely on Monday.

I had my most successful month for 2008-

That leaves me 54 in the red. If I pull my finger out (and I've got a few days off around Xmas) I may just breeak even for the year.

No chance of painting a thing – I can't even get to the painting table even if I had time to. What with still clearing my late father's house and rebuilding our kitchen, the games room is stacked high with stuff from his house plus the contents of our kitchen.
Despite this I succumbed to buying some of Musketeer Miniatures' Irish Civil War figures at Warfare and Reveille so I'm further down the tubes on painting than ever.
Better success in 2009, I hope!

Holiday season slows everything for me.

I lost count of how many I painted, but I'm definitely more than 365 for the year, which was my goal. As a collector, I can't hold myself to the paint more than you buy!

On the workbench – Crusader Normans. I hope to finish my army by the end of winter.

This brings the YTD numbers to

552 growth/335 days = 1.648 minis per day.
295 painted/552 bought = 53.4% of growth painted.

This remains behind the purchase goal (<1.5 per day) and is still barely ahead of the painting goal (>50% painted). The purchase ratio is improved from last month, but unless I experience a miracle of selling or giving away minis, I have already exceeded my growth target for the year. Only the painting goal remains…

The loss of the FLGS I had been painting at continues to tell on my productivity, and existing project progress was again limited. Rezolution got a big boost, and the "terrain for everything" task saw good progress, but nothing else moved significantly.

The 15mm WAB project still sits. Since it was the late-year usurper, I will probably put it aside until 2009 (yeah, sure) and have it take its place in the list then.

The AmRep fleet and Star Marine projects will likely both get attention in December.

I'm with Jana on this one. My basement has suddenly got cold and while I can sit and watch cable with a blanket, doing while painting is a bit difficult.

Can't really complain since I only have about 40 miniatures left unpainted total since taking the Pledge two years ago. But with some very tempting purchases coming up in December I could easily see it grow to about 100 unpainted. And at this point in December, I haven't painted anything!!
