Someone said that it was a cool model, and possibly suitable for 28mm figures.

Is that so?

Can't seem to find pictures of the model anywhere.

Thanks.

If it is a worthwhile model, maybe it could be made into TWO waterline craft, like this fella did with a different sub model:

To my knowledge, the only Ulysses put out by Disney was a small projector that beamed images from the movie on the wall.

Not nearly as useful as the old Snaptite Nautilus.

Woa, forget how nice it may or may not be.

I finally found a photo, but Amazon shows the sucker as being a bit too pricey for my likes . . .

Hi CC,

I have one of the projector ones that I bought at a Goodwill… very cool model.

I plan to make a 6mm dropship out of mine for Traveller.

Shalom,

I have two of these. Haven't decided what to do with them yet.

Thanks,

John

I did the similar with my Ulysses projector… took it off the mount and made it into a 6mm VSF airship.
No real 28mm use for it that I can see.

I've used one for 28mm, it's the hull for my british aeronef/aeroscaph. Flip it upside down, remove guns etc, add a deck and pieces etc.

A better one for 28mm figs would be the mini-sub playset. Here's the box cover picture

Only pic I can find of the contents picture

To give a sense of size, the taller fig in the bottom corner is about the same height as a 28mm fig

MacDonalds did a version of the Ulysses with a launchable evac sub that has possibilities for 6 or 15mm.

I have both the projector and the mini-sub -still not sure what to do with them only had them two years.

A friend gave my son a plastic one that he uses as a bath toy. I don't think it would be suitable for 28mm figs, more like 6mm.

I intend to make some into 'cavorite covered airships out of mine, the hull shapes look like cavorite panels, ala first men on the moon sphere'. I will showw some pictures when they are made.

melfortuk16 Aug 2008 4:12 p.m. PST

sorry forgot to say, in the only true scale – 15mm

Just thought of something . . .

If someone is into this sort of stuff, and if the hull piece is split into a top and bottom section, you could actually turn this into some sort of waterline SF submarine (a Post Apocalyptic "Nautilus"?):
