These guys: picture link If painted in earth tones, of course: picture Plus, for those who are into the new and licensed SG-1 figures, the plastic "Warriors of Harad" figures would be perfect in size for the true 28mm Phoenix is selling these days: link What do you guys think??? CC |

More Abydonians here: picture picture You could easily turn one of those plastic "Men of Harad" into Stargate's 'Kasuf': picture CC |

Nice find CC. I'll keep this in mind for when my Jaffa arrive. |

I would have never thought to use them for that, but i think you're right in that they would work well. |

They look great to me. Good catch. |

Good Idea, but the harad costume reminds me more of the Garb that Nerti wore. What about Nerti worshippers instead of Abbados? |

Have you read any of the books by Bill McCay that expand Devlin's movie mythos? This series includes the Setim as the technological and warrior race from whom Ra steals most of his powerful weaponry. They would also be a very interesting addition. There would be several sources of "dog" warrior types. |

Artslave, I'm really going to have to give those five movie-based books by McCay a look . . . The story continues immediately after the events of the film, with the US government (military) interested in the mineral that is mined for Ra by the Abydonians. As conflict arises in many forms on the planet of Abydos, a new threat comes when other gods from Ra's pantheon (namely Hathor) come looking. Bits of the Ancient Egyptian myth, The Destruction of Mankind, is acknowledged in the novel's construction. The first three books form one complete storyline: * Stargate: Rebellion (October 1995) * Stargate: Retaliation (September 1996) * Stargate: Retribution (October 1997) The last two continue after the events in the first three books, but move the story forwards by dealing with the Abydonians and the events which happen at the climax of the trilogy. * Stargate: Reconnaissance (May 1998) * Stargate: Resistance (October 1999) link CC TMP link |

Instead of the Earth glyph/symbol with a single moon over the top . . . link . . . Abydonian rebels should have on their symbol the three moons over the pyramid, don't you think? CC |

I found the series a great read, and can recommend them. It will bring a new perspective to jaffa, especially the Horus Guard that we don't see in the TV show. Also Hathor is a ruthless warrior goddess, not just a manipulating symbiote machine. The military gets involved in a big way, with major assaults and weaponry involved. It will get your blood boiling for hundreds of Tauri and Abadans vs. a hoard of jaffa and death gliders. |

If someone can put muskets on those Harad figures, why not staff weapons, right? link CC |
