Has anyone took the time to drybrush the Lemax vinyl Christmas town mats? I've got a few questions if so. 1) Was it worth it? 2) What paint would hold best on the mat itself and with all the bending? |

Are you going to glue it down to a surface, or use it as a portable rolled up gaming mat? CC |

Here are some suggestions for the portable surface option: TMP link CC |

I think I'm planning on the portable surface option. I just got a roll and so far it seems to sit OK if you roll it backwards. I'm just worried about drybrushing it do to the fact that the vinyl seems pretty slick and with the rolling, I'd hat the paint to come off

I am going to cut mine and fix the pieces to flat mdf surfaces. I think I may texture them with either FleckStone textured paint or thinned wood putty brushed to a rough texture. After that, I will apply a thinned out layer of PVA, prime and paint. CC |

I have cut the stone mats into strips for roads and dry brushed different colors of craft paints. Have rolled these and used for a couple of years with no loss of color. |

By the way, if interested in ever using it for flooring sections, I also have a plan B: TMP link CC |
