I am looking at picking up some star wars droids. Like these
auction I am planning on using them in a Adeptus Mechanicus based group as either automated infantry or servitors. Either way I was wondering if anyone knows how the compare scale wise to say a Space Marines? Also and the big question. I plan on repainting them and I was wondering if anyones has seen any pics of repainted ones. Bonus if they look old/rusted/worn off paint. |

I'd skip the 'regular' Battle Droids altogether; they're horrible sculpts, and very susceptible to bending. Go for the Super Battle Droids – if you need Mechanicus-type bots, chop one of the arms and put on your GW heavy weapon of choice. They're much more sinister-looking. |

Hold? Maybe, but I don't think so. They're not very 'handy'. I'd cut the 'furniture' off of the lasgun, then replace the forearm(s) of the droids with cut-down lasguns. |

Well, I have picked up a few of each to see what ones I like better. I will post pics of them once I got something to show. |
