Okay, I finally started painting the cowboys and dinosaurs conversions I did over a year ago. Here's a Texas Ranger on a Carnotaurus WIP to start. picture picture Pictures dark, etc. |

Nope, the pictures are pretty darn good, and the figure looks great to boot. |

Very, VERY cool! Any ideas on how fast a dinosaur runs in comparison to a horse? |

Grab yourself a copy of Paintshop Pro. Its not very expensive and you can compensate for difficult lighting in one or two mouseclicks. I just downloaded the pics and used the "one step photo fix" option and viola!! picture picture Regards, Dave Lone Star Historical Miniatures lshm.net Millennium 10 Gaming Convention millenniumcon.com Drop by for a virtual visit!! |

What did they say they clocked the T-rex doing in Jurassic Park
30 mph? Not exactly a scientific answer but hey if its good enough for Stephen Spielberg, who am I to argue?? Dave |

Spielberg's conclusions have been called into question by subsequent research, particularly the "impact tremors". Great idea. As usual when I see stuff like this, I wish you were in our local group. Nice conversions and paint job. I would not want to be the guy trying to get the bit in his teeth, though. |

My question is who puts the Bit in its mouth? (Brilliant Job!) Wingnut |

Thanks for the nice comments. Still need to ink and highlight, my half-@$$ed way of making it look like I know what I'm doing. The closest analog for judging how fast T-Rex could move would be elephants. They don't actually "run" they just walk really fast. They always have two points of contact with the ground unlike a horse whose feet will all leave the ground while running. So the question is, how fast could T-Rex put one foot in front of the other without ever having both feet leave the ground at the same time? I'm guessing this is still pretty fast. The Carnotaurus here could probably actually run I'd guess. Don'tfeardareaper: Those pics look way better. I think my photo software can probably do something similar, but I'm lazy. :) HomerSapiens: It's a Reaper Carnotaurus with a West Wind Cowboy Wars rider and greenstuff harness. How do you put a bit in a theropod's mouth? Very carefully. |

The problem there is that the closest analog isn't that close. Nice convo. Where's the ranger from? |

"West Wind Cowboy Wars rider" Ah, right. Missed that. |
