Managed to get a proper game of Liber Militum Tercios in this evening against my friend Alex. We refought the Battle of Fleurus. In our our refight, as in reality, the Spanish were victorious.

Very lovely painting and basing. Well done.

Nicely done Prince.

Question about the timber buildings.
What scale are they and who is the manufacturer?

Regards,

Some will use a smaller scale for buildings, ergo the query.

Timurilank: those are 6mm villages from Total Battle Miniatures: link

I did a review of them here: TMP link

I think they are a "large 6mm" and only slightly out of scale IMO, I think they look better than buildings smaller or bigger. That's just me though.

Hope this of some help.

Great looking game! I'm just starting TYW in 10mm. What size bases did you use?

Thanks

Prince, thank you for the links.

These are nicely detailed and the two ranges, Pike
and Shot & Early Medieval would cover what I need.

Cheers,

Fusilier Dan, I originally based everything for In Deo Veritas (and based the armies for that rulesets Fleurus scenario), Tercios are 3" squares, other infantry units are 3 x 1.5" and artillery and shot companies are 1.5" squares. Tercios recommends slightly different basing but I didn't notice any affect on the game play.

The bases are Litko 3mm with 3mm rounded corners and the majority of the figures are from Old Glory's 10mm ECW range. Some of the shot and cavalry are a mix of Pendraken, Lancer and other ranges.

Prince Alberts Revenge, that's pretty much what I was thinking. I would have the cavalry on 2x1.5. Fewer figures per base as well but I must admit that the 40 plus figures per base looks fantastic!
