The T-28 is indeed a wonderful and accurate kit. While I use mine for the Winter War, they served up until 1943.

Check out the history of the T-28 on this excellent site:

battlefield.ru

(Look under tank development, medium tank).

Aztecs are invading France?

Most of the Tanks and Trucks you are after for the Russian part of the project are available from AGNM.

They work beautifully with the lovely FOA T-28's

OK, I hate to ask but when you say that this is "28mm" is this 1/60, 1/56, 1/50, or 1/48 scale?

Dunno, but for those of you who don't know (like me) here is what one looks like:

Oh I've got to get one of these. Wonder how well they fit with the Corgi or the Tamiya models?

I believe it's 1/56. Force of Arms have a couple of 1/60th models, but most are 1/56. (Not certain why the difference, but I think the 1/60 may be the first offerings, and they switched to 1/56.)

its 1/56th, and very nice to boot

Chuckaroobob10 Feb 2006 11:36 a.m. PST

That's a really nice looking kit.

Great kit! massive and yet finely detailed, AFAICS… love those "land battleships". Any chance for an "Independent" or a Vickers Medium C?

I'll second Plantagents recommendation for AGNM vehicles. They make the T-34's, KV-1's, and BT-7's (as well as a T-35) that the project calls for. AGNM is listed in TMP's manufacturer directory.

Who makes a T26B in 1/56?

londoncopper?

We do at Force of Arms, and yes there is one part missing an MG which I'll send directly to Troopie.

Thank you for the positive comments. Regarding the question of scale DOM Skelton is quite correct; three early WWII/SCW vehicles ( VEH 3, 4, and 7 – and their variants ) are 1/60th all other WWII and SCW ranges are 1/56. The Catalogue which you can download from our site makes this clearer – I hope.

ALL new releases wuill be 1/56th and I certainly plan to revisit there easrlier models – for the Renault FT for example we'll have some variant turrets for RCW and USMC as well as some of the Baltic states variants for those who fancy inter-war conflicts or pulp gaming, but probably not including the bridging variant!

Good Games

Just to second Guy's comment – the FOA T28 is a lovely piece of kit, the ones I have (painted for Winter War & GPW) scale in very nicely alongside my AGNM T35.

Nearly twelve months – will we be seeing the write-up of the T28 soon? I like the look of the kit, and I'm tempted by some of the SCW trucks and tanks, so it would be good to see how well this monster went togetehr.

Cheers,
Colin

Enjoy!

The T28s are FoA (now sold to AGNM), the T35 is NZWM (now also AGNM)
