Helmets, shields, and greaves, check; but body armor or even tunics would be too unfashionable?

That's always the trouble with Amazon types, of course.

(I have a number of nude Amazons myself, but mostly skirmishers, archers and javelin throwers, not close fighters, so it makes a tad more sense, sort of.)

I believe Eureka does make an 'armored' Amazon phalangite as well.

Yes, that's so. I'd forgotten about those, shame on me, because I have some of those models. A big box of unpainted Amazons, Eurekas and others, still await my attention.

These are beautiful, but another vote for Amazons to be either skirmisher types (on foot) or any sort of cavalry (I have no problem with heavy cavalry Amazons since to me, cavalry is still an advance over chariotry).
