As I mentioned previously, I'm basing up a new Amazon army in 15mm scale. The figures are from the Armies of Arcana range, a small but exquisite line of figures, currently sold by Lone Gunman Games. They were painted for TMP by Old Guard Painters in Ukraine.

My "old" Amazon army that I'm replacing didn't have any spear elements, so I am happy to have six stands of spear in the "new" army.

When basing the figures, make sure that the stands will properly 'rank up' – as you can see, my spear bases don't quite rank up…

All the figures have the same pose, but with care, it's possible to adjust the throwing arm to give some variation. (Which I did before sending the figures off for painting!)

Sadly, I'm told that these figures are out of stock at the moment from the manufacturer.

These figures are described as 'Amazon maiden', which I would imagine means the younger warriors in the army. I worked out Mighty Armies stats for this troop type in my previous article.
