RECENT BATTLE REPORTS

It was a Sunrunners versus ASP fight, and much to much my enemies' surprise, I flew my ASP fleet right up his middle and blew away his big guys.

I was having a rough time of it, but it actually looked like I had a chance to win, but we declared it a draw. [03 Nov 1999]

We had a battle of two battlecruisers on 8 destroyers in a playtest for "Exordium Tactical". The chief designer managed to pilot one of his battlecruisers into a planet, and the destroyers were able to quickly put an end to the rampaging ruptors of the surviving BC. [19 Apr 99]

While deployed to Bosnia from July 1998 to January 1999, I took my Full Thrust rules with me because it is fast, simple and exciting in comparison to other games that have become way to complex for even a mathmetician to understand. The last game we played was an all out action involving 6 ships in a starship duel. [29 Mar 99]

I played a game of Jovian Chronicles (the battle of Kurtzenheim from The Chaos Principle OVA). My friend was using the CEGA forces, and I the Jovian. Well, to make a long story short, I was totally pasted (need to work on my tactics a tiny bit). He completely decimated my exo forces and took out most of the fleet that I had. [28 Mar 99]

I ran Full Thrust for the first time the other week, and I thinkevery one was impressed. We are used to SFB games that take hours and end often thru bordome. The game took about 2 hours for 8-9 ships each side with novice players and GM. I recommend it! [28 Mar 99]

Full Thrust Fleet Book rules, vector movement. My Islamic Federation tug and battle riders ran into a Nea Rhomaioi destroyer squadron on opposing vector. Three Islamic missile ships broke to starboard to keep the range open, while the remaining three Islamic ships (armed with beams) closed to engage. The tug wallowed to port, slowly. Islamic beams quickly damaged several of the DesRon vessels, taking little effective return fire. Moments later, the missile squadron launched an alpha strike. Half the Rhomaioi were outside the danger zone of the missiles, but the other ships were destroyed or badly damaged. Unfortunately, the Islamic missile ships had shot their bolt with that one strike, and the remaining Imperials were able to destroy two of the Islamic beam squadron (Islamic ships tend to be fragile) as the two squadrons interpenetrated. The Rhomaioi ended in position to destroy the Islamic tug, which made for a strategic victory; on the other hand, most of their surviving ships were headed for the ship-breakers, while the Islamics had four of their initial seven ships untouched.
