Last game was a quick round of Minimal Space Combat. Working on the Solitaire rules. [26 Apr 99] |
Robert Douglas |
Last space game was starblazers. 2 ship on the Cometine side with a ton of fighters, versus Yamato, another Battleship, and three destroyers. EDF got vaporized, but not after causing a lot of damage to the incoming fighters. There were just too many, and the defenses got overwhelmed. The two Cometine capital ships took *very* little damage, and the mission was deemed a complete success. [13 Apr 99] |

The last game that I participated in was a Babylon 5 EA vs EA Scenario (Using Babylon Project Rules) that I ran at Slug-A-Thon a few weeks ago. The Scenario featured 11 captiol ships on either side with the goal being the destruction of the other side. The high light of the game was when the comander of the Rebel faction Jumped his with one of his Whitestars, two of his Omega's and three squadrons of Thunderbolts into the middle of the opposing force. within in turn this raiding party was destroyed by the loyalist forces and after five more turns the Loyalist were victorious. I was testing some new spaceship designs for the Jovian Universe. Basically, the Martian Free Republic was performing a space facility seisure against the Martian Federation. It was my first boarding actions tactical gameset. The Free Republic was beaten back. [4 Apr 99] |

I currently have a pbem game of Babylon 5 Wars going. I'm flying a Centauri squadron (BC, 3xCA, 3xDD) against a Narn squadron. Firepower is still in my favor, but I'm worried about having fewer, smaller fighters than the Narns do. [30 Mar 99] |

Full Thrust, using rules from the Fleet Book. A much faster game than we had expected, and very entertaining. [29 Mar 99] |
Rob Wilson |
Last Space Game I played was a Star Fleet Battles tournament deul, played FtF with someone in our local gaming group. I was flying ISC vs his Hydran, who conceded after 4 turns, mostly due to his ship being more damaged than mine. [29 Mar 99] |
Mike K |
The Last game I played was Mekton Z in a invasion of a city scenario, onboard a space station, we kludged up rules for going through airlocks and we had a space fight/ building to building city fight, all in one game. [28 Mar 99] |
GhostBaer |
My last game was a round of silent death. Just two even forces fighting it out around a planet and a moon. No capitol ships (mainly because we don't have them) allowed, just fighters. The battle was quick since we had many torpodoes and very little point defence. I sent my cheetahs (4 of them) with beam weapons screaming past the enemy and using the planets gravity (now far behind the enemy) to make a quick turn around and finish them from behind. While my battered heavier fighters engaged them head on and basically just kept them busy. The cheetahs ended the game disabling or destroying all the remaining enemy fighers. Luckily i targeted the more mobile craft with my torpedoes even though less hit, he targeted my heavy craft. [28 Mar 99] |

Jovian Chronicles: 4 Jovian Exo-Armor Pathfinders vs. 4 CEGA Wyverns 1 Jovian Thunderbolt 1 CEGA Hachiman 2 Jovian Lancers 2 CEGA Wraiths Meeting engagement, CEGA force closed while the Jovian force split into 3 units, 2 sets of 2 Pathfinders and 1 Lancer with the Thunderbolt in the middle. The Wraiths and the Hachiman closed with the Thunderbolt and 2 pairs of Wyvern split to engage the Jovian flights. In short, the Thunderbolt was sunk, but the Wyverns were destroyed. The Wraiths escaped, but the Hachiman was sunk by the remaining two Pathfinders and two Lancers. [28 Mar 99] |

Full thrust: Kra'Vak vs NAC. Kra'Vak defeated the NAC (Human) in a close run battle using house movement and fire sequence rules. [26 Mar 99] |
Kent McClure |
Full Thrust game Basically a UN sponsored meeting of warring nations that was interrupted by an approaching Kra'vak fleet. I played the FSE commander with an appropriate French attitude including letting everybody else get beat up by the Kra'vak, pick off the Kra'vak stragglers, and declared myself to be the hero of the battle as a result. This was the miniature rules from Earthforce Supplement to Babylon 5 Project. A Narn vs. Centauri battle, and my first chance to play the Narn. I was looking forward to wiping those silly hair fans off their heads with the nifty engery mines. But, things started out bad. The time came to launch the engery mines, so I put out a nice line of them just where I expected the Centauri to move to. Well he turned to his port will I moved straight ahead right on top of my own mines. All my engery mines hit my ships and none of his were touched. There was not much hope after than for the Narns. That tactic has already become know as Tom's bonehead maneuver. I'm looking for a rematch, this time with a, hopefully, wiser admiral. Tom [26 Mar 99] |

Large Kra'Vak vs Human, ratio 2:3. Knock down fight to the death with the humans barely winning. [26 Mar 99] |

Been awhile since we played. A big FSE/NAC Full Thrust fleet battle. Still can't figure how to offset those FSE missiles. Intend to put together some more focused scenarios later this year. Full Thrust is a terrific game, and deserves to be played more often. That we've been away from it for so long speaks more to the lack of time in my gang's gaming life than it does of the quality of FT -- this is a game that everyone wants to play again. [26 Mar 99] |

Played late last year (Nov?) Four sided general brawl. Designed to introduce some pals to FT. 1 Battleship, 2 Cruiser per fleet. Minis used: Fleet 1: Old Citadel Space Fleet Eldar (BB) Silent Death Bioships(C). Fleet 2: Traveller SDB (BB)Traveller Type S (C). Fleet 3: Traveller Patrol Cruiser (BB). Old Silent Death something (C). Fleet 4: Traveller Subsidized Merch, (BB), Old Silent Death something (C). Your basic multisided dust-up. Fleet 1 was handed the fait accompli win as he started out the farthest away and was going slowest. The rest of the players had pretty well gutted each other by the time player 1 got into it. Playing time including setup about an hour and a half (including BS'ing). FT is quite simply one of the best games I've ever spent my hard-earned $ on. [26 Mar 99] |
