Skaven vs dwarves. Warhammer scenario the Skaven won [17 Mar 99]

My last game was Warhammer Fanatasy, I was The left flank of the army. I had about 1200 pts. of Empire and fought off about 3000 pts. of Dark Elf and Goblins. The highlight of the game was when Ogres charged my poor halflings. The Ogres failed to hit and my halflings hit several times in return and cause two wounds. Unfortunatly my opponent rolled two 6's for save thus forcing a tie on wounds caused. The fight between the Ogres and halflings would have been written about for centuries to come if only my opponent didn't roll boxcars. Just think, halflings running down routing Ogres. [16 Mar 99]

AoA using an army GW lizardmen (plus some plastics from the toy store) vs Ral Partha dwarves.

Before that, FR!2 using GW Epic Scout Titans, Rank & File Figures Late Medeival Knights + Martian Metals dive boppers against a pike & shot army using old Minifigs 15mms.

FR is not without it's warts. Without some limits on 'fantastic' troops, rank & file infantry soon become worthless. Flying missile troops are also a problem. With some simple army construction limitations though, it's hands down the best game out there in terms of flexibility, quick play, and gamesmanship. [15 Feb 99]

A friend and I played a 3000 point game of Armies of Arcana. I played Dwarves, he played Lizardmen.

The game came down to one unit left on each side-- fortunately, I had the dragon, while he had infantry. :-)

My dice luck with missile attacks was astounding-- I killed a giant in one turn from a unit of 24 crossbows, and my Dragon incinerated a unit of cavalry in a single shot (11 of 12 possible wounds!). [11 Feb 99]
