I have the original Wessex games version as a softback fanzine size set of rules – has it changed much over the years in basic mechanisms etc?

Wessex later published a simplified version of their Aeronef rules in their Land Ironclad rule set for combined air and land operations. They never came out with their rules for including navies. I've found so many problems with both sets that I've rewritten them extensively. The club seems to like my house rules. Other than the simplified version, I have not found any newer sets.

The last Aeronef game we played was over water with naval fleets included which was a blast. Aeronef and land battles seem to be slower and Aeronef stands always seem to stop over inconvenient terrain where the stands wont rest.

I switched to Imperial Skies long since.
