I checked – the answer is No The close order combat bonus is only for infantry (page 60) |

I've only started playing WAB recently (solo since no local players). I have a basic newbie question about melee. I don't find this clear in the rules. A 12 man Roman infantry unit 6 across in 2 ranks, melees a 10 man Celt infantry 5 across and 2 ranks. Doeas one roll dice for each man in contact (5 out of the 6 in thr case of the Romans) or for the entire front rank? |

I have another question. With regard to the stand&shoot reaction, considering the rulebook states that shots are assumed to be loosed at short range while standing and shooting, could a javelin-armed unit declare a stand&shoot reaction against an enemy declaring a charge from outside javelin range? |
