Is there a Koenig Krieg supplement for War of Spanish Succesion and if so where can I get it? When I go to the Outland games website none of the submenus work (there is no button/method to activate the "rules" submenu page), do they still exist? |

If you're open to other rules, try "Captain General" by the Pike and Shot Society - excellent set for the GNW/WSS.

East Riding Miniatures in UK carries it. rumor has it the Outland principal has/is deployed in Iraq and is difficult to get a hold of right now. |

There is also GaPa for GNW/WSS, with an army lists book available. |

Well, to answer your question yes, the version of Koenig Krieg currently sold by Outland contains the WSS expansion (La Guerre Du Roi). It also contains the Siege (Festung Krieg) and Campaign (Der Grosse Koenig) expansions. Of course, Outland has temporarily suspended operations. You might be able to get a copy through On Military Matters, but it could be hard to find at the moment. |

To Wallyswrld: Attactix has one copy left (Outland Games version which has all 3 volumes in it) for $19.95 plus shipping. Bill will hold it for you until 1600 (4PM) Tuesday, 25 Nov. After that, it's up for grabs to anyone who would like it. Attactix toll free: 888-732-6321. Have been in contact with the new owners of Freikorps (QRF) and there might be a possibility of them being reprinted in the near future. My group has been playtesting Captain General for the last year. Love the command system, but the new version has second rank cav melee modifiers but the rules make it impossible to allow a cavalry charge to ever have a second round of melee! Very disappointed. While play captures the ebb and flow of the period, it has been agonizingly slow for us to get thru a turn. Great concepts, just slow play. Best, Tom Dye GFI |

Wally: Just a word of warning. Koenig Kriegs is an excellent SYW set of rules but only an average GNW/WSS set of rules. At least in my opinion. |

As far as I can surmise, Koenig Krieg is the original set produced by Freikorp, for which we now have the rights. I'm not entirely sure where the WSS supplement has come from, as it does not appear to be an official Freikorp publication. I am just looking into that. As Tom has mentioned, we are in discussion to start reprinting these as they need to be pulled back together a little and we currently have nothing to print from in the way of artwork! |

Thankyou for the excellent replies/info everyone. I'll be calling Attactix before 4pm for sure. Will look into the other rules suggestions as well, but needed the Koenig rules in particular. |

Called Attactix, the Outland copy they have was missing the WSS supplement when I called (perhaps someone borrowed it?). |

Good news, received everything today from Attactix(KoenigKrieg, Der Grosse Koenig, Festung Krieg and La Guerre Du Roi). It turns out that La Guerre Du Roi is within the Festung Krieg supplement(last 9 pages), thus all is well. Also interested in the GaPa ruleset, so will be looking into those later. Thanks everyone for the replys/info. Over&out. |
