We had toyed around with making it a basic non colour print and that way dropping the price, but that would be unfair to our loyal customers, who went out and purchased a book. We will however, be selling the rules to shops around the world in our next print run. Despite the rules cost remaining the same(not much we can do about a soaring Aussie Dollar) our US and European customers will at least be able to buy their copies in their own country and not get charged the international postage rates. We are looking at other avenues to reduce costs on publishing. We have listened and we do appreciate our international brothers, who are not used to copping the thin end of the stick in Hobby prices as we in Australia and New Zealand have had too. Prices here in Australia, for a Koenig Krieg Book are pretty fair,( Ishould know as I sell all the international rules like Black powder, Lasalle, Warhammer Historical, Osprey etc through my sole trader business Dragonfire Games)(Shameless unrelated plug, lol!) but I do understand that with the exchange rate and a strong Aussie dollar our books are high comparative to if they were published in Europe or America. Certainly our Army book for Koenig Krieg 1730-1789 will take much of the price concerns voiced by the international community under advisement. Short of moving to America or Britain there is not much more we can do at this time! We do appreciate everyones voice though and will always look to making things cost effective for our international punters, any smart and useful business suggestions for doing this are always welcomed. :) |
