Hi all, We rolled out our first game of Seven Years War action in 15mm using the Koenig Krieg rules at the Devon Wargames Group yesterday.
The rules played very well and much fun was had with a very entertaining set of rules. If you would like to read more just follow the link. link Jonathan |

Nice report and great looking battle! Good to know about the game mechanics – not a game system I have ever used |

Lovely Battle report Jonathan, really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next battle report! Well done the Brits on a hard fought win. I placed the link to your blog on the Siege Works forum and facebook page, loved them that much. Loads of good looking figs and lovely pics :) Great stuff! |

Hi Brunet as you rightly point out they are Swiss troops in French service , around 40% of the French Infantry were from outside France including Swiss,Italians,Germans,Irish and Scots as well as some other smaller states and which were usually formed into their own units. Sorry for the error but it's what happens when one person writes the battle report and someone else adds in the pictures. Other corrections are that there were no French Guard in this battle , the reference should have been Grenadier Royaux, and no Prussians in this battle either, The plucky Dachenhausen Dragoons are Hanoverian. |

Nice looking game. I have been playing Koenig Krieg for years and like the system. Love your terrain and the troops look to be well painted. Try the Prussians and the Austrians when you get a chance. |

I spent some time looking at what rules to use and Koenig Krieg dosent get the publicity it deserves, It ticks every box I was looking for especially having the variety within the armies themselves . Actually I am tempted to look at the Ottomans next. |

You are also welcome to playtest the Persians, Durrani, Moghuls, Mahrattas and Mysore if you are keen on the oriental forces
:) Send me an email info@siegeworksstudios.com.au if interested in some unusual armies to use that are currently being playtested. |
