I don't fancy rebasing my WSS 15mm collection, but I have fond memories of playing KK. Since my WSS figures are 3 figures to a 20x40 base, with twelve figure units I can approximate the KK unite of size figures up, and six figures on the second rank, albeit on different bases.

Has anyone had experience playing with linear bases?

I think as long as both sides are based the same you should be ok. Or you could mess with the ground scale. The system is robust and can deal with it.

I started basing my units by Fredrick the Great rules and then switched over to KK. As long as you keep the three figure stands in 2 ranks (when in line) you will not even notice the difference when you mix units. The different mountings will have no effect on the game.

I have not played KK for some time and plan on putting on a game for a local game night. As I have my collections and my friends (which I inherited) I have about 11,000 painted figures in 6 major and 2 minor powers.

That sounds like a fantastic collection. Will you be able to take some photos?
