Are there any plans to add group movement of several units adjacent in line? It is the one feature that really seems missing compared to other ancients rules. I could imagine a rule with the same restrictions on march moves that adds +1 to the difficulty for each additional adjacent unit included in the move. |

Simon, This would make sense for such armies as the Greek phalanxes, etc. Maybe just limit it to two to four adjacent boxes along the same line and with the same troop type. Jim |

I feel like you get that with moving everyone in a box for one card. One box can probably be the equal of multiple units in other rules systems. |

Ah yes- that's a very good point. Originally (pre-publishing) I had group movement, but I cut it out because it was one extra thing to teach to novices at shows. Recently we've been running it in the ECW version and it works very well. It might be possible to include it in the supplement- I'll have a look at the wording of the ECW version and publish it here later, and give it some thought. |

This is the text on group moves from the ECW version- brigades equate to commands. "Once per player turn, any units within a brigade that are within command distance of the officer in charge of the brigade, may move together on a single activation card played by that officer. Such a group move must precede any other activations within the same brigade. All of the units in the group must pass the activation test, or the group move will fail and the brigade's turn will come to an end. All the units must move the same distance and in the same direction. A group move can never involve a charge, rally or shooting. Units that have participated in a group move may subsequently activate again, but must exceed the pip-value of the group move activation card." It is possible that this could be included in the supplement, I think. |

Simon, Having played your ECW rules during the paly testing last year, I think that this group move would work well in the To the Strongest rules. Jim |

Having played the rule in several ECW games, I don't think it could do any harm. I've added it to the draft document. |

Can you do group moves with different commands, or only within a command? The way the rules work I expect it would be by command/group. |

Yes only within a command. Essentially a general can activate some or all units that are under his command and within his command distance. |
