Brendan Moyles new set of rules for the Crusades and Central Asian wars called Shattered Lances is now available from Outpost Miniatures in the UK.

Any places in the USA carry this set of rules? Like Brookhurst maybe?

No but I like the name.

I remembered that I had a post and links about it on my blog. So I looked it up. Turns out there's a Yahoo group that has various playtest versions of the rules.

Hi Mike

I'm not sure of the messy, monetary details, but I don't think there are any great hindrances to any US stores stocking and distributing the rules. They'd just have to get in contact with Jeff at Outpost.

If it is an Outpost product, your best bet is to check with Brookhurst. All of the Outpost products that I carry, I get through them.

We have not done business with outpost for several years now

Hmmmm, Rudy, apparently you dont carry a lot of Outpost products then according to Larrys reply. Grin! But thanks for the effort anyhow to help.

Thanks Larry, for letting us know though.

I guess I have to order overseas then – I really didnt want to do that because I dont have PayPal. Unless somebody in Canada deals Outpost products?

Oh and Im in the discussion group on Yahoogroups and an excellent source it is too. I downloaded the first test set of rules and was impressed. But I do want to get the actual current rulebook too.

The original inspiration for the name was the antics of Richard I, as described in the Itinerarium.

I felt it was nicely different to many titles that have a "___ and ____" format.

Thanks Brendan!

I will email them and find out when they might stock the rules then. I want to buy them but I'm not in a big hurry as Im not finished painting my 28mm Crusader and Muslim armies yet. Long project!
