When I wrote TtS! I didn't include a category for the heaviest chariots; I propose to include them in the short supplement I'm writing. I'd welcome comments.

"Extra heavy chariots represent the larger four horse chariots used by the Assyrians and Classical Indians, amongst others. They were stoutly build with large wheels and wide, well protected cabs that could act as fighting platforms for three or even four crewmen.

Heavy chariots perform as cavalry, except that they find activations involving rough terrain doubly difficult. They were intended primarily for shock action and start the battle with a single lance chit representing this. Often they will be additionally equipped with extra bow or longbow with three ammunition, shooting as if light infantry. Heavy chariots save on a 6+ and cost 11 points."

Pretty much how I play the Assyrian 4 Horse Heavy Chariots, except making therm Veteran with a 5+ Save – 15 points, but really tough!

Is 11 points with the extra bow and shock (without looking it up…)

Hi Peter, 11 points includes the shock but not the extra bows, so veterans with bows would be 15 points, as you mention, and very tough! :-)

I'll change the order of the wording to make that clearer, thanks.

Could we rush a new rule in time for the TTS world championships later this month. Make ancient Indian chariots totally indestructible, or something like that Simon? :0)

LOL Barry I'm avoiding all changes to

a) The rules
b) The lists that people have chosen

Until after Chalgrove. ;-)
