Infantry for Mighty Armies (originally published by Mongoose; now published by Rebel Minis) are mounted on 2" x 1" bases.

For game purposes, the number of figures per base is irrelevant.

The first-edition army boxed sets provided four infantry figures per base.

Several of the newer army sets, released since the second edition of the rules, feature three figures per base.

Yeah, looks better with 4 on a base.

Depends on the size of figure and how armoured the model is. Light troops look better with 3 but heavy troops are great squeezed in.

Did toy with the number being how tough the guys are and to determine the type of troops but binned both ideas grin

Mine are DBXish. Three per only for light infantry and most shooters.

1" x 2" gives a lot more wiggle room- especially since most of my MA bases are sabot for miniatures based on small washers (for flexibility and skirmish gaming).

But three heavy infantry per is being way too penny-conscious for what is already a relatively inexpensive gaming investment.

I was initially in the 'prefer 4' camp, but now all my MA armies to 3 figures per element.

Many figures are too hard to fit four figures per base.

I try to fit four for heavy infantry, otherwise I follow the DBX standard on figure count, when it fits…
