If anyone wonders why there's no Sassanid ally in 626 CE, it's because TTS doesn't do sieges and the Sassanids and Avars did not fight a battle together. But on the upside, you can get a Lombard ally in 567 CE (because they actually fought a battle as allies against the Gepids).
