I am doing the following events at Adepticon:
adepticon.org

De Bellis Antiquitatis: Trojan War Giant Battle
Day: Friday March 24 | Start Time: 6:00 PM | End Time: 10:00 PM

"Bring me the body of Patroclus ". Achilles angered at the death of his cousin leads the Myrmidons back into the fight in search of Hector. How will each side do with no gods to intervene? All miniatures and materials provided.

Giant DBA, 10 armies of 25mm figures in battle between the armies of Trojans and the Greeks on the Plains of Troy. Lots of chariots and spearmen.

De Bellis Antiquitatis: Open Tournament
Day: Saturday | Start Time: 10:00 AM | End Time: 2:00 PM
Open Tournament for DBA. Bring ANY army with terrain. 4 1-hour rounds, 2 foot square battlefields provided, Swiss Chess. Some loaner armies available.
All DBA 3 rules will be followed. For this event, DBA 2 armies may be used with restrictions at end of this post. Boards provided, but bring terrain you like.

De Bellis Antiquitatis: Book I The Chariot Period Tournament
Information in subsequent thread.
Day: Saturday | Start Time: 5:00 PM | End Time: 11:00 PM

==================================

Using earlier version armies in open tournament..

Players are encouraged to use new 3.0 army lists, however 2.2 army lists are still permitted. If a 2.2 army list is used, the army information (for example: Aggression) from the corresponding 3.0 listing applies, as do the dismounting limitations for equivalent element types. Finally, players with 2.2 armies may not use 3.0 ally rules.

Just a further clarification on this. It should be obvious but I thought to state that if you do use a version 2.2 list, any elements must be played as the version 3 equivalent. For example, any elements shown as 3Sp must be played as 3Pk ("fast" Pike) and any elements shown as 5Wb must be played as 5Hd ("fast" Hordes). Litters will all be played as version 3 Lit (a type of Blade), not as a type of War-Wagons as in version 2.2.

The tournaments are 15 mm as people probably surmise from the fact that there were 2 ft.² tables. Sorry that we didn't explicitly stated though.

Bill, you should update the description on the Adepticon website details page for this tournament… It still says all book one armies are included.

Bob:

Could you get me the results of these games so they can be counted toward the National Championship and the DBA Cup?

The winners will be announced after Historicon. So game masters get me your tournament and Big Battle results.

Wow. "DBA Tsar USA". What an impressive title.

And some people think wargamers are nerdy, immature jerks.
