Any of you chaps get your hands on the early copies of the new supplement? Reason I ask is I am wondering what the troop types of the different factions are so I know which models to paint from my lead mountain. I have seen the Romans with cavalry hearthguard and infantry warriors, but that's the only faction. Are the Arthurians all infantry? How much cavalry will the Goths employ? Any information would be much appreciated!

Have you looked here?

I've been painting Huns myself…. and waiting.

Didn't see much on their website; where is the info? Also, since you are painting up Huns will they be all Calvary like the steppe tribes?
Thanks

Joe

I found this there;

"Gripping Beast are taking pre-orders for A&A, release date given as early February."

Joe: The Steppe Tribes have a strong contingent of Bow armed foot Levy. I'm thinking there will be few changes.

Skipper,
That is my guess as well. In my reading the huns made use of subjugated people as their levys.

The new book hasn't made its way across the pond, but I'm trying to build a Late Roman force. Can someone tell what is allowed. I read something about infantry only being warriors and levy (no hearthguard), and cavalry could only be hearthguard. Is this correct?

This from the Studio Tomahawk forums:

Britons(Arthurians) may have WL and HG a mounted or on foot. Standard warriors, Levy with javelins or bows.

Goths have a mounted WL. HG on foot or mounted. Warriors on foot or mounted. Levy with bows.

Romans may have WL and HG mounted or on foot. Warriors standard on foot or with bows on foot. Levy with javelins, spear and shield or manuballista.

The Northern Tempest podcast (the host is the author of the above quote) has had access to the new book:

It's worth ltsening to all their podcasts (there is only 3 at this point I think). BTW, Picts have a chariot option :0…
