I've been looking around for a simple, fun but "mass battle" set of rules for my Wars of the Roses collection and I thought that "Days of Knights" by Chipco would seem to fit my requirements.

So of course, my impeccable timing being what it is, when I went to order a copy I see that it is unavailable as a second edition is "coming soon".

Does anyone out there know anything about when the glorious day may be nigh, or have any idea as to how the second edition will be different from the first?

Thanks.

Join the Chipco yahoo group for full information on all things Chipco.

DoK 2 has been in the works for a while yet. I believe it will include expanded rules and army lists to cover at least some of the Crusades and possible Dark Ages as well.

I did not realize its advent was so near that DoK has been with drawn from sales.

It is simple and fun, and includes some fun rules for adding characters to your armies.

No Dark Ages. I am uncertain about the Crusades, but I do not believe it will be included. Great set of rules. They should be out soon.

Thanks,

John

Shades of Tactica

Hey Dave. Why do you think it's like Tactica? I have played both and don't believe they are really similar.

Thanks,

John

Tactica two has been coming out any time now since, well I think it was suppose to be Tactica 2000.

Thanks, all. I joined the yahoo group and will wait to see what transpires. At the least I found out that the basing I use will work with the rules, so I can be patient.

Hehe. Yeah, I remember Tactica 2000. Arty has even quit talking on the Tactica yahoo group (one of the few where he ever commented online). I know there was a serious attempt by one of the major DOK fans witth the initials KB who attempted to aquire the rules to actually put out a new DOK version. I think that lit a small fire under Chipco since they seem to have moved seriously forward on it. The rules did languish for a whilee till then, though.

Thanks,

John
