Yes, me again.
This time some pictures of the BPI troops I have.
The ECM are all on my FUBAR blog:

6mmfubar.blogspot.com

But up until now the BPI have been ignored.
No more.

I have 4 squads of BPI infantry, 2 squads with HMGs and 2 with missile launchers.
Unlike the ECM troops these squads are made up of figures with lots of nice poses.

picture

Each squad has a Phalanx APC with 2 HMGs.

The BPI being filthy rich fuel barons have lots of nice support too which the ECM are lacking.

We have a sniper and his spotter.

picture

We also have an AT gun and crew.

picture

We also have a nice remote drone that flies around feeding the BPI intel.

The BPI also have a very heavy tank being painted up which will outgun the ECM one any day.

The BPI infantry have been given the same care and attention to painting as my ECM troops.
However in order to try and get some gaming done their vehicles and what not have just been painted to a "quick get them on the table" standard in case you wondered why the ECM look prettier.
That and the BPI are the baddies, boo hiss!

I have made some rules for the snipers and drones and enhanced the FUBAR vehicle rules too.
With such a simple and effective core set of mechanics it is easy to create a few bolt on rules for special troops/vehicles.

All in all the ECM are very much the underdogs.
Which is we love them so.

Michael.

Michael, Enjoy your work. Would appreciate it if you would include in the photo captions of your posts who made the figures you used. I believe the APCs are GZG but dont know the infantry or drone.

Thanks,

Al

Because of your posts I've been bitten by the 6mm fubar bug. Spent the last couple of evenings looking at CinC, Dark Realm and Steel Crown figures trying to decide what to buy!

Angel Barracks30 Nov 2011 7:44 a.m. PST

Yay!

Do you have a background yet?
What sort of size forces?

oooh excited!

TheCount30 Nov 2011 11:55 a.m. PST

Go for it morrigan! I played AB's 6mm FUBAR just the other day and led the forces of the despicable BPI to a glorious, err, draw ;) Good fun had by all, nice set of rules and very nice terrain and minis, as provided by Michael. Recommended!

Regards, TC.

More excellent FUBAR stuff AB! I really like the quick paint scheme used and the drone…. I think that is something i might have to borrow for one of my forces.

Keep it coming!

Haven't really come up with a back story yet. Could be a colonial operation on Earth or another planet. I'm thinking about a couple of lower tech factions fighting over a ruined urban area. Higher tech outsiders move in to occupy the area clashing with the lower tech natives, giving the opportunity for alliances and using captured weaponry. As you can tell, plot lines aren't my strong suit! 8>)

I'll be staring small and gearing up as I go along. I seem to remember a big battle version of fubar being mentioned!

Sorry to see you took down your WIP's and how-to's AB. They were really interesting!

Louie N30 Nov 2011 7:32 p.m. PST

That is a great looking force. I love the drone.

Thanks

Where is/were they?

morrigan01 Dec 2011 6:54 a.m. PST

I'm not sure, but I remember following along with how you made your terrain tiles etc. and thinking I'd like to try that. When I went to your 6mm Fubar blog you mentioned a forumer site but that is gone now. 8>(

Angel Barracks01 Dec 2011 8:30 a.m. PST

Ah yes, there is an official FUBAR site now:

and my own 6mm site which is not just FUBAR but ALL 6mm stuff.

angelbarracks.forumup.com

You can find those things on there!
