I have decided on a sort of formula for my FUBAR games. The ECM will be assigned to patroling a given area. This means that I will have some fixed locations for them to visit. I have currently: Anvil Gate (being worked on some more after the last game set there) The BPI compound that was being constructed with the cargo containers. BPI fuel depot. Which leaves me a few more to make. Each game will alternate between locations.
I have plans to make: A small farmstead A research centre A small mining town A hermits house A medium farmstead I am struggling to think of cool, interesting ideas, so over to you!
My Blog is here to give you an idea of the background: 6mmfubar.blogspot.com Michael.

Hmmmmm factory.. Presumably making something that is banned/expensive on Earth so they make it here, but what

Hmmmmm factory.. Presumably making something that is banned/expensive on Earth so they make it here, but what
? Now, that is the question! Satellites have detected what appears to be an industrial complex hidden in a ravine. ECM have instructed Charlie Company to recce the location and identify who it is being operated by, what is being produced and for whom the products are being manufactured. |

oooh, yes, wargamer 1972 – a wrecked spaceship, perhaps with a giant gunner, all the other crew dead/missing and a cargo hold full of organic pods of some kind
Hmmm, maybe someone should make a movie based on that idea? |

I agree with Samulus that an Alien Colony, spaceport, and a native life form (perhaps Bug/Hive type) would be of use. Your troops could be assigned to patrol the road and the various towns or facilities. They would also patrol the border between the Alien Colony area and the human colony. The native life form may be anywhere and could be anything. An animal life form which is a nuisance to the colonists or it could be like the american buffalo providing valuable hides or some other substance. Your native life form could also be a primitive/low tech native race. Consider them like the native americans in the US old west with all the problems of protecting them, wiping them out, assimilating them, or keeping the humans and perhaps the alien colonists out of their areas, etc. Another possibility is incursions by renegades (pirates or the remnants of a defeated political faction). A Starbucks. And maybe some aliens snooping about, having recently become addicted to caffeine. |

Spaceport. As its kind of a frontier town feel to the area. Saloon/gambling den/horizontal relaxation palace. Garage/repair shop complex. Local law enforcement lock up. The OK Vehicle Park. A container terminal to ship goods in and out. Local mass rapid transit system terminal. |
