have run a few Rhodesian War and Afghanistan games and they worked fine , i wish i had done a report but the games played out wquite well and using a one page ruleset was a great help to intorduce new people to the periods and to some modern gaming. We used randomly drawn coloured chits ( from Stargrunt 2 ) alongside the units to indicate thier quality . cheers Tom |

FUBAR for insurgency actions in the GWOT quite often here. No online reports from this end but I have seen some report posted on TMP. Have you done a search with FUBAR in the title? VR James Mattes |

I've used FUBAR and it's a great system. Back in February I used it for a what if battle fought between the US and Russia during the 2008 Russo-Georgia War. Like I said, it's a great system, but the activation system can really toss a monkey wrench into your best laid plans. Craig, the principal writer, is currently rewriting FUBAR into an Ultra edition. Some good stuff coming down the pike. Anyway, here's one game: link |

Didn't to do a FUBAR search but I will now thanks! Tgunner what a fun report. Do more! |

Have you visited the boards for FUBAR? They're a bit quiet now but there's cool stuff there plus Craig, the designer, visits there from time to time to field questions. A nice fellow he is. Also there are some AARs there as well: link TMP's own Wargamer1972 also has a 6mm FUBAR modern imagination called 6mm Prussian Republic and he has some AARs there too: 6mm-prussia.blogspot.com I do plan more FUBAR modern action in the coming year. I just picked up several M1 and Bradleys, a new Stryker, a whole QRF British platoon, two more squads of VDVs, about 2 squads of Eurekas modern Russians, a similar number of Eureka's Chechens, and a have more 15mm Rebel Miniatures insurgent/fedayeen fighters than you can shake a stick at. I even have a BMP-2 and a pair of BMDs for my VDV and motor rifles
I just need some tanks for them. But yeah, I plan more modern FUBAR. It's a fun system and the Ultra version will be so much better! Try it out. |

Yea, activations for poor troops, or the lack thereof, seem a bit high for me as well. Try a D12 instead, and keep the standard ratings, but add 6 to them. That reduces the number of inactive die rolls by half. Still enough to be interesting, but not so much as to be crippling. Also, check out the recent posting of Artillery Rules for FUBAR as well, since no doubt you will find that useful too. |

Hi Mako11 I've had a test run of the rules and found using the new Ultra activation ideas, as seen on Tgunners blog link , everything works fine. Even for green troops. The Artillery rules thread was helped me sort out those rules thanks. |
