On an expanded version of FUBAR there is an armor penetration chart, taking the place of the original Armor Save rule. The chart includes the notation "1n" in some of the cross referenced weapon/armor die roll requirements. Anybody know what it means? as in Lt Mortars Light armor 4+ Medium Armor 5+ Heavy 1np |

If I had to guess I'd say it stands for non-penetrating. |
Grumpygamer | 12 Mar 2014 7:43 a.m. PST |
I thought so too (it seems obvious) but the chart includes blank spaces beyond and why the "1" Lt. Cannon L.Armor 4+, Md.Armor 5+, Hvy 1np VHvy - |

It would help if you'd provide a link and/or name of the expanded version you're talking about, as there are a ton out there. |

Hi guys. I have just sent you two three emails with everything I have for FUBAR that are relevant. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, but it's your game now, modify to your pleasure. |
theangrylurker | 15 Mar 2014 2:20 p.m. PST |
Can someone send it on to me? deadmoneyguy@yahoo.co.uk Thanks. |

et moi too please jamesflowers@hotmail.com Quick question too , I have the FUBAR rules , how do you design forces , I am looking at running a small skirmish based game ala infinity but using movie monsters as the protagonists , so aliens , predators etc ? How do you design forces? MTIA |
Grumpygamer | 15 Mar 2014 10:52 p.m. PST |
Just make up your scenario and assign appropriate forces. Are you talking about points or something? Cant remember a war ever where the opposing generals assigned units based on 'fairness'. Just set it up as you think it would be and play it out. |
Capt Flash | 16 Mar 2014 9:32 a.m. PST |
There are a couple of rudimentary points systems around, but I don't care for points, myself. @ Angry Lurker- I will email all the files later this evening. Great blog you have there, by the way. Thanks for luring me into Zombie madness! And I'll send them to you as well CzarBlood. -Edgar |

hi, makes sense , but how do you define firepoints for figures in a unit? I am using PDF link |
Capt Flash | 16 Mar 2014 12:24 p.m. PST |
That's the version I prefer combined with the sci-rules. You count each model's FP and roll the total in dice. You can use different colored dice if you've made some weapons have unusual damage. In my own sci-fi compilation I've made a number of weapons Armor Piercing and are the only ones able to penetrate armored vehicles, while at he same time preventing other figures from taking anything but cover saves. |
CzarBLood | 16 Mar 2014 1:18 p.m. PST |
how do you work out how many FP you get in a round ? I assume its x times model , but how do you work out x ? is that just something you agree with at start of play ? |
Capt Flash | 16 Mar 2014 1:38 p.m. PST |
Each weapon has a FP rating. Just add it up when you fire each time. Each time you fire add up the total FPs of each firer in the attacking unit. |

Ok, Czarblood and Angry Lurker, I just sent you two all the relevant files for FUBAR. Cheers! -Edgar |

I think my original question got lost in the shuffle. Nobody has an opinion on the penetration table "1np" thing? |
Capt Flash | 19 Mar 2014 4:17 p.m. PST |
Grumpy, can you email me a copy of the rules you have? |
Grumpygamer | 19 Mar 2014 7:35 p.m. PST |
Id love to Capt. but cant private message on here for some reason. |
Capt Flash | 20 Mar 2014 5:17 p.m. PST |
You have my email address from when I emailed my files to you |
Capt Flash | 20 Mar 2014 8:01 p.m. PST |
I'd say it means one of the FPs is negated. So in your example you'd need a "6" but get one less FP for damaging Heavy Armor. So instead of four FP, you'd get three for the hit to represent the armor being tough for the particular weapon to damage. |
Grumpygamer | 21 Mar 2014 8:02 p.m. PST |
That's a good analysis
works. Thanks |
