Both WRG 4th edition and WRG Gush Renaissance have casualty charts in which you keep a roster for casualties. You recorded the number of casualties until that reached 20 in which you took a figures off of the unit. Any remaining casualties were recorded on the roster until such time as you once again reach 20 and you took another casualty. For the Renaissance rules someone devised a casualty chart in which rather than number of casualties it was percentage needed to role in order to inflict a casualty. Once you cross-referenced the number of figures and factors you could come up with 1.75. This meant you lost one figure with a 75% chance of inflicting another figure.

My question is, did someone develop such a casualty table for 4th edition? And if so, is it still available somewhere?

A simpler method now that we have D20's is to roll a number less than or equal to the odd 'men' casualties to lose a figure.

So get 52 casualties – lose 2 figures and 12 odd – roll 1-12 on a D20 and you lose a 3rd figure, 13-20 and you don't.

IIRC the casualty charts were exactly the same so you should just use the one modified for gush.

And then WRG published "1685-1845" and record keeping to 20 evaporated.

No wonder we called them the "Bang. You're dead!" rules.
