I only have the 6th and 7th Editions never played 7th though. But amongst my figures I still had a large 15mm New Kingdom Egypt army using old minifgs based for 6th and mostly ready to go. Also Norman still operational. Most of an Alexandrian Macedonian (some seems to have vanished). Just wondering who has armies ready to run for this ruleset. |

Since 6th edition went to the 40mm base size for 15s, most armies for 7th/DBx/FoG should work for 6th. That said, I still have lots of troops on single and double bases to allow wedges and casualty removal despite not having played 6th or 7th for many years now. Chris |

In the late 90s I finished up a lot of armies for 6th/7th. So everything is based for 6th/FoG, but the artillery needs to be cut down, as I had based them om 80mm(25s) for some reason. |

I think we have gotten all of our figures rebased for DBx/FoG, but I'm not sure – I probably still have some Romans, NKE, and Indians based for WRG 6th. |

Never got that far, my 25's are based for 4th edition ;-) |

Probably 20+ 25mm armies The basing for FOG is pretty similar |

Not any more. They all got sold off, 15 & 25mm armies after years of inaction. No one was playing ancients in my part of MN. |

I do. But that's because we still use 6th. |

Important related question
:) How do you stop the 15mm singles from falling over, or for that matter stop them wondering off by themselves never to be seen again, like one of my norman crossbowmen? |

Yes, all my old Hinchliffe and Minifigs Persian/Macedonian 25s are still based for 6th. I temporarily stuck thin card under them to convert to 7th, but soon discovered that was a mistake and went back to 6th. The recent republication of the rules tempted me to drag them down from the loft, and after a couple of games, that's triggered the urge to start some more 25/28mm ancient armies. Should keep the lead mountain going well into the 2020s. |

Yes all of my Ancients are based for 6th, in both 15mm and 25mm scales. There are some really good conventions to go to for 6th. Every Spring theres a really good one in a German castle on the rhine. Great Wargaming, geat beer! What more could you want??? |

2000+ points of Alexandrian Macedonians for WRG 5th Edition 6th edition I've about 3000 points of Byzantines, 2500 of Norman/ Early Medieval French, 1000 of Vikings, 1750 Palmyran, 1500 Parthian, 1000 4th Century BC Greeks. When I clear the current Palmyrans I'll be adding Carolingians. At least in 5th and 6th Edition the FIGURES meant something. Most of the rules today one figure is all that's required as the stand/element/what ever is all. And at least there was an intended figure to number of men on the ground relationship. I actually think that was one of the problems with 7th getting away from that. If you look real close, except for command stands and such, lots of the DBM stand points look a whole lot like a 6th Edition totals for similar mounts after converting superior/ordinary/inferior to morale classes. And DBA and others where every "Army" has the exact same number of stands? Every game has weirdness if you examine in right. Pick your preferences for which you'll tolerate. |

Got about 2,500 pts of Hinchcliffe Late Imperial Romans (I always liked the shield patterns)based for 6th, plus some inherited Sassanid Persions. Don't think I have used them since the mid 1980s but still far two attached to sell them. |

That's something you don't see every day … Sassanian Blue Oyster Cult fans! I've got 25/28mm Classical Hoplite Greeks, Post Alexandrian Macedonians, Hadrianic-Antonine Early Imperial Romans, Britons, Gauls, Early Germans (Suebi), Numidians, Early Carthaginians, Saxons and Vikings all based for 6th Ed/DBx The next venture will be to do Pre-Marian Republican romans and some Carthaginian additions to allow them to be used for both early and late |

Do Macedonian in 15mm based for WRG 5 count? |

Just selling my Lysimachids to a friend in the UK, he only plays 6th. No one plays here in North America and I am not keen on Warrior. Then again Montreal is pretty much a desert for gaming these days. |

Yes, all my 20mm Ancients and Medievals are based using this system. I do, however, find LI a bit ópen´spaced visually, but thats show business. |
