There used to be a Yahoo group, worth a try. Alternatively, the pbulisher – Wargames Research Group – has a website; I found it by googling.

You might ask at the yahoo group
link
Also the files section has a 2015 rules clarifications
link
has some clarifications

Or ask here someone, I'm sure, will know the answer

Why not just throw your questions out and see who answers?

Rule 1: Play like a Gentleman, not like a Lawyer.
Rule 2: Why the heck can't a unit be charged by mounted and foot at the same time?
Rule 3: When you perform an illegal move, and you withdraw to your original position, make sure you angle the unit do its flank is no longer exposed.
Rule 4: Don't get caught cheating.
I have a bad grandma, but she never caused as much ruckus as that…😜

Yes, ask away! Our group plays WRG-6th regularly.

Very good question. That always bothered me too, and the explanation was very lame.

Ok cheers here we go then ….bare with me I am a dinosaur .
Referring to my copy of WRG 6th 1980

In melee do elephants and chariot horses suffer -1 for facing pikes or LTS

And in a unit of say Chinese infantry pikes in the first rank
Crossbows in the second rank ..do the second rank fight assuming they are regular foot.

There will be more to follow

I always played that everything got the -1.

Crossbows fight as "other".

Ok cheers
Also do elephant or chariot crews with JLs count them in continued melee

And I have also seen a weapon factor for "swordsmen" on revised reference sheets was this a later amendment

JLS only counting first round.
Swordsmen are just "other".

They fight with every second figure of their second rank (p.40 4b)

What happens when a unit is pushed back into supporting friends. Are the friends disordered or pushed back as well .
