What are the major changes you anticipate for Warlords forthcoming P&S?

Obviously longbows and arquebus will play important roles, as will combined formations of pike & shotte!

What else would you expect to see different?

Pictors Studio01 Apr 2012 2:06 a.m. PST

Some limitations on the movement of guns, similar to the early 18th century supplement.

I think we will see more differentiation between close combat troops than exists at present.

Longbows? In Pike & Shotte?

One aspect of 1644 I like is Cavalry melee where extra units join the crush from the rear in subsequent turns giving the impression of a mass brawl on horseback rather than two lines of blokes politely prodding at each other in nice neat lines!

As young Mr Priestly had a hand in both I can but hope! Speaking to a reliable source today it does sound like a rather good set,

Tally Ho!

Just like an infantryman to liken a gentlemens cavalry melee to a mass brawl; quite simply no breeding in these Parliamentray types! Now where's me dog, charge!

Longbows? In Pike & Shotte?

I understand that the rules cover The Italian Wars through the end of the TYW/ECW. So, longbows should be in the rules,at least nominally.

PSADennis01 Apr 2012 3:21 p.m. PST

Not to mention ECW Scots and Irish.

Looking forward to both of those. I, for one, cant wait to try War of the Roses and Flodden with these.

I'll be interested to see whereabouts the rules bridge the gap between Hail Caesar and Black Powder, in terms of movement and the number of hits a unit can take. Mostly just looking forward to getting all my ECW figures out and being able to play a game in a reasonable amount of time.

At the moment I'm presuming that units will combine in terms of pike and shot being separate entities which can support each other, but am open to mixed units with a single statline too.
