This focuses STRICTLY on the campaigns of old Julio himself? So it's good for only a fourteen year span of Roman military history? |

But what a span of Roman military history! Lots of opponents, lots of battles. I'm surprised they fit it all into one supplement. |

I agree. A time filled many significant battles and giant personalities. I have read Caesar's commentaries multiple times and studied the original Latin text in detail for graduate school work. I am really looking forward to this title! |

True, BRB. Lots of opponents and you can field many allied auxiliary combinations from all over (Victrix figures should get a boost here – Spanish, Numidians, new plastic Ellies, maybe even the shielded Greek cav perhaps). Maybe this will get WG to change their Conquest of Gaul set to have Caesarean Romans instead of the segmentata guys. I always wondered why they did that combination. Those Romans would have worked with their Germans or Dacians,or even British Celts, but the Gauls were largely a spent force by that time. But then again that's assuming a historical fight. |
