I got myself involved with producing and promoting this game about a year ago. It's interesting work but a little tricky at times as I live on a farm way down south next to the border. I do what I can over the internet but I've been trying to get some face to face gaming in and introduce the game to more people. I've done some demos in Alberta and BC but so far haven't done anything closer to home.

That brings me to the point. Is there anybody in Saskatchewan, or the rest of western Canada for that matter, interested in trying it out? I have the rules and the minis and am willing to travel a bit if I have a group of interested players.

There's a pretty active gaming group in Regina that put on regular game nights and run an annual convention. You might want to contact them:

The Dragon's Den in Saskatoon has a gaming area and is pretty open to people running demos there. You could always contact them and see if they're interested:

You might want to send them a sign-up sheet though and check to see if anyone HAS signed up before making the trip. Saskatoon folks are pretty set in their warhammer/warmachine ways – I've organized demos there and showed up to find I'm the only one there…

There is a new forum for Saskatoon Wargamers And Miniature Painters (S.W.A.M.P) you could see if anyone's interested there:

swamp.quicksand.ca

hope that helps a bit.

Vancouver is a bit far but depending on what time of year it is I might make it. Last September I was out there on personal business and ran a demo game at the Comic Shop. I'd like to go back with my wife and show here some of the sights.

I've been in touch with Regina gamers but didn't get any real response. The organisors were interested in me coming to their games days but I didn't want to make the trip unless I knew I had people willing to play or I was up there for some other reason at the same time. Like Tim said it's nice to know if there'll be more than just me there! I'm going to try to make it to their convention this year.

I'll contact Dragon's Den and see if anybody's interested. I have some friends in Saskatoon that might come out if I harrass them enough. They used to play games with me here before they moved to the city. I lived in Saskatoon for 3 years and still like going back once or twice a year for different things. I've been all over the world and it's still one of my favourite cities.

I was at Fallcon in Calgary in September. Had a lot of fun and as it was my first convention learned a lot and made some good contacts in the gaming industry out there. I'm much more organised and confident about what I'm doing after that. I may go to Calcon in March if I can find a babysitter for my kids.

Thanks everybody for the links. It gives me some more ideas to check out. I'm not expecting a lot but even if I could get 2-3 people interested in one place I'd make the trip if the schedule works out.
