I have been unable to register (for some reason) on the Armies of Arcana forum to see the various play test and other documents where people suggest modifications to the base rules. I have the 5th edition rulebook, and love the game, but I know people are keen to change things like missile fire and the undead, missile fire generally, scouting, etc.

I would love if anyone could share any documents or even their common house rules, if they have such. I know Raj Dhillon is creating some new off-shoot ruleset, but I cannot access those drafts either.

I've been having a lot of problems accessing the forum lately and I'm a long time poster there.

Here's a link to a bunch of things I collected for AoA.

Some of it is for the 4th ed from Thane, some is from the forum, a lot is my ideas. I haven't been putting a lot of effort into AoA lately so nothing really new there but you might not have seen it.

For missiles versus undead I either reduce their missile armour or play it that immune fails the armour save on a 6.

The majority of the discussions tend to be about the points values in the game and there's a lot of different ideas on that but I don't have docs for them. I've done a huge amount of checking things with the current CCF and there's only a few things I'd change a bit. Still a lot of things that could be checked I suppose.

There's only been a few things that pop up from time to time about actual rules changes. Lances is a common one. A lot of people like the Warhammer idea of a strength bonus on a charge instead of double ranks.

I haven't been following Raj's version for a long time. I'm happy enough with AoA as it is without doing a major rewrite and have my own ideas I work on from time to time. Here's a link to his new forum and you can download his rules there.

I had alerted Raj to your problem earlier and he had taken the restrictions down on the site hoping you could register, but I guess that has not helped if your also having issues with the new site he started.

I just tried earlier today at the old site and still could not work--you still get the "thanks but you have to be approved" message. Ironically, one of the things protected in the old forum was the name/address of the NEW forum!

I am also satisfied with AoA's present incarnation. There were some interesting ideas in Raj's version. But I am no fan of throwing out the baby with the dishwater. Overall, I'm happy with 90% of how the rules work now.

Thanks,

John
