Where can I buy this set of rules? Are they worth buying? Seems like a fun idea…

You might drop in on the "pigwarriors" Yahoo group for some ideas. I really enjoy it, and use it for our Norman, Saxon, Viking, El Cid, War of the Roses, and LoTR armies. We play it a couple times a year.

I believe you can get it at warweb.com

Not sure where you can get it via the internet, but I would highly recommend it as a fun set of rules to play.

I bought it at Spirit Games in UK. Pig Wars is perfect for conventions and games with many players (6-10)

Yes, David and I have had some great battles with PIG WARS, and I have used an adaptation of them in some fantasy role playing games. Fun rules, and some useful concepts for people who like to mix and match rules to make their own brew.

The rules are great fun. I originally bought them because I loved the title and the idea of farmyard animals as victory objectives. I now have hens, geese, goats, pigs, cows and assorted barrels and sacks.

It is especially good for multi player games.

Pig Wars is a fun multiplayer game.. we even made a random booty/locals generator that determines what is in fields and houses (dependent of size)…that way the GM could even play…

Now if there was only a way to get my less than armoured female Viking warriors from getting wiped out each game …

It's a fun, crazy set of rules full of excellent – and insane! – Viking flavor IMHO. Highly recommended… evil grin

LeadAsbestos,
I don't know if you aree anywhere near Michigan, but Todd Kershner (writer of Pigwars) usually comes to Spartacon. Spartacon will be next weekend the 13th in Lansing Michigan. I have not checked, but often there is a game of pigwars at the con, and usually one of the venders (Riders Hobby shop) will carry it.
