From the discussions on this site, I was prompted to purchase a copy of Lost Battles and have been intrigued by the possibilities of refighting grand battles of the Roman Republican era. However, being a little dense, I have found that trying to seperate the usable "gaming" information from the theoretical disertations to be a real challenge. I was curious to know if there is a "Readers Digest" version (a crib sheet if you will) which lays out the rules in a easy-to-locate manner.
I suppose I'm looking for the lazy man's way out.
Thanks.

The rules are listed in Appendix 1. There are a couple of playsheets in the files section of the Yahoo Group.

Well…I did say I was dense, so I had that covered. Many thanks.

I faced the same situation. I went ahead and picked up a copy of Strategos II from the Society of Ancients for 5 pounds. Things are much clearer now.

Thanks,

John

Are the rules in Strategos II exactly the same as those in Lost Battles?

Pretty close.
