Hi folks,

Have just posted a report of a play-by-email Lost Battles variant game done using the VASSAL module.

We were testing out a user-made average dice results variant and seeing how it would stack up against the historical result.

The report is here if anyone is interested in taking a look:

Thanks, Aaron, I'd love to do a refight of Pharsalus with figures. But getting that many legionaries together won't be easy…

Thanks, Paul. Funny you should mention getting legionaries together for Pharsalus…

You don't need _that_ many Legionaires for Pharsalus, not the Lost Battles sccenario anyway, if you just use one element per legionary unit. Obviously if you do the whole multi base thing you need quite a few. Ahem. Ahem.

Well, I'm in the "Ahem ahem" camp! 64 command figures left to do, cavalry, basing, and then we'll be good to go. Probably 2013 at my current rate…

Of course, could always do it using Punic War era Romans, but then there'd be less incentive to finish a Marian army!

Cheers,
Aaron
