As featured in the latest Wargames Illustrated I have just released an illustrated PDF version of Civitates Bellantes Ancient Rules.

The rules are suitable for games with miniature figures in all scales from 2mm to 30mm. Although primarily designed with the Macedonian and Punic wars in mind, the mechanisms can be used for the earlier Greek and Persian conflicts as well as the rise of Imperial Rome.

CB is designed along the same principles as Comitatus, with unique features to capture the flavour of the period. Particular attention has been given to developing practical ways to reflect the relative strengths and weaknesses of the phalanx, the legion and their supporting arms.

The rules are available at link

Alright! Unfortumately, the link is missing.

Errm, "unfortunately". Anyway, I believe that it may be here:

Excellent, and congratulations! I played the earlier version a few times and it had plenty of options (morale, equipment, drill) for categorising troops according to their performance in historical battles. We did Cannae once and got a pretty accurate result.

Cheers,
Aaron

Thanks for fixing the link – not sure what went wrong there. As Skeptic says it is here:

I've also played the game, and can heartily recommend it.

Thanks guys!
It has taken quite a while to get it to where I am really pleased with the result. Hope others enjoy it too

Do they include lists?

smacdowall30 Mar 2014 3:20 p.m. PST

No lists but I will be adding scenarios (free downloads) to the website to show how different armies can be made up as I have done with Comitatus
